“Every time I got a roll of super 8 back from the lab, I would log the essential information into a notebook. I was quite meticulous about this logging process; describing what was on the film, where and when it was shot, the type of film that I had used. If I found a scene intere!ing – if it looked good technically or if there was anything worthwhile – I put a check next to it. To merit a check, it had to have some kind of value, whether emotional, comical or aesthetic.”
